Make Room for the New

The days are getting longer, the birds are singing louder and the snow is melting (at least in my part of the world).  As the calendar flipped over to March the anticipation of Spring is in the air.  Which, for some of us, means Spring cleaning.  Jeff and I spent last weekend tackling a couple of rooms in our home, moving furniture, donating things that we are not using any more and repurposing others and almost a week later it still feels so great to walk into those rooms.

Did you know that clearing is actually an important practice that helps make room for new things to come into your life?  It is important to sort through the old, throw out the garbage and donate what's not being used - put it back into circulation.  This could be in your home, your closet, your car, your computer files or maybe there is an old belief or habit that is ready to be tossed and replaced with a new way of being.

What are you hanging onto that it's time to clear? Start with a drawer in your kitchen or a closet, but start.  As you clear the old and put it back into circulation you are making room for the new to arrive in your life, it is signalling to the Universe that you are open to receive.
