Last week was a big week in our house, Aaron, my 4 year-old graduated from play school.

It has been fun to watch his excitement as he delivered his handmade invitation to his grandparents, confirmed that we're bringing the camera, rehearsed his songs and counted down the days to his big event.

I remember a time, not very long ago, when I heard about 'Playschool Graduation' and I thought it was ridiculous.  I would say things like 'it's only play school' and it seems 'absurd to be having a graduation for this'.  And now here I am at my second play school graduation thrilled at the idea that a reason has been created to celebrate.

Because we don't do it enough.

Over the years I have learned to appreciate the need to celebrate more.  Let's celebrate along the way to the big wins, high school, university, the wedding.  I want to teach my kids that it is important to recognize the milestones along the way to their big dreams because if life truly is about the journey and not the destination shouldn't we celebrate the journey?

What could you be celebrating in your life this week?
