How can you use a vision board to help you manifest your dreams? A vision board is a visual display of things that you want to create in your life, either short-term or long-term goals, but ultimately it’s a visual representation of what it is that you would like to create in your life. There’s so much science on the power of visioning, of setting intentions as a way to manifest your goal.

To create a vision board, you can go to the dollar store or local craft store, and grab a cork board or a poster board. Then grab some old magazines, print off some pictures online, and get out your scissors, your glue, and create a collage of different images of what you want to create.
This might be pictures of two people in love, this might be a fitness goal, maybe there’s somebody who’s doing the sport that you want to be doing, or looking a way you want to look. Maybe it’s a dollar amount that you want to earn, or a car that you want to drive, a picture of a dream home or a vacation spot, and you cut all those pictures out, you put them on a board, and then you put that board somewhere that you’re going to see often.

Why is this so powerful?
It’s taking the time to set those intentions, really asking yourself what is it that I want to create? What’s important to me? Spending the time to find those images and put them together will help to focus your mind on what it is that you want to create. The power of having a visual representation of that is. We think in pictures and there’s often emotion that’s attached to a picture. If you think about going through old photo albums of you as a little kid or maybe your kid when they’re babies, and seeing those pictures, it brings back emotion, and our emotional connection to those images is really key when it comes to manifestation.

Having that visual representation brings up the emotion, and when we’re emotionally connected to those goals, it speeds up the manifestation process. You’ve spent some time, you’ve got your board, and now the key is putting it somewhere you’re going to see often. A vision board is something that we can connect with on a daily basis to keep us focused on those goals that we want to accomplish, that we want to achieve, putting it somewhere where you’re going to see and you’re going to connect with it often is really important to work with it that way. What would you love to create in your life? Short term, long term? What are some images or visual representations of that? Start going through the old magazines, printing some pictures off line and take some time to get into that creative space. Pull out your scissors, pull out your glue, put those pictures together, and it’ll help direct your focus, direct your energy in a fun way on creating and manifesting those short and long-term goals.
