Have you failed recently?

I had the honour of visiting Thomas Edison's workshop this week where he mastered the technology of the lightbulb.  It was an inspiring day being reminded of Edison's famous response when asked about his many failures in developing the light bulb  "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work".   His passion for his dream kept him moving forward, he saw every attempt as a piece of feedback instead of as a failure.

When was the last time you failed at something?  Did you get back up?  Are you willing to try again?  Failing means that we are playing in the game of life, that we are testing our limits, trying new things, exploring, experiencing, inventing, growing, expanding.  Failure is just the Universes's way of saying "not this way".  It doesn't mean it can't be done but if you aren't willing to try you will never know what you were truly capable of achieving.  Success doesn't always happen on the first try.

If you haven't failed recently is it time to test your limits?  Stretch your comfort zone?  Try something new?  How could you grow today?

To your failures,
